Hull

The hull is made of fibreglass. A hull made of fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season.

Interior

The boat is equipped with 4 cabins, 8+2 berths, 600 liters (158 US gallons, 131 imperial gallons) fresh water capacity and toilet facility.

Rig

The Nautitech 40 is built with a fractional rig. A fractional rig has smaller headsails which make tacking easier, which is an advantage for cruisers and racers, of course. The downside is that having the wind from behind often requires a gennaker or a spinnaker for optimal speed.

Keel

Unknown keel type

The boat can only enter major marinas as the draft is about 2.29 - 2.39 meter (7.51 - 7.81 ft) dependent on the load.

Engine

The fuel tank has a capacity of 270 liters (71 US gallons, 59 imperial gallons).

Nautitech 40 may be equipped with dual inboard Volvo Penta diesel engines at 58 hp (43 kW).
