Hull

The hull is made of fibreglass. A hull made of fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season.

Interior

The boat is equipped with 1030 liters (272 US gallons, 226 imperial gallons) fresh water capacity.

Rig

The Privilège 48 is built with a fractional rig. A fractional rig has smaller headsails which make tacking easier, which is an advantage for cruisers and racers, of course. The downside is that having the wind from behind often requires a gennaker or a spinnaker for optimal speed.

Keel

The Privilège 48 has been built with different keel alternatives.

Unknown keel type

The boat can only enter major marinas as the draft is about 2.06 - 2.16 meter (6.76 - 7.06 ft) dependent on the load.

Bilge keel

The Privilège 48 is built with a bilge keel. A bilge keel is a twin keel, which allows the boat to be beached. Bilge keels are the most popular keel for tidal waters.

Privilège 48 can enter even shallow marinas as the draft is just about 1.35 - 1.45 meter (4.43 - 4.73 ft) dependent on the load.

Engine

The fuel tank has a capacity of 537 liters (141 US gallons, 118 imperial gallons).

The boat may be equipped with dual inboard Volvo Penta diesel engines
